Ingredients
250g Self raising flour
100g Sugar
Pinch baking powder
Pinch salt
1 egg
Milk to add until thickness is thick and drops of spoon in thick lumps (add bit by bit)
Method
Mix together dry ingredients
Make a well in the centre
Add egg
Blend with spoon to mix egg and dry ingredients
Gradually add milk and keep on stirring to make a smooth thick mixture
Cover with cloth and leave for 1 hour
Grease a hot frying pan or griddle with a little butter
Fry small ladles of mixture on one side till you get bubbles
Flip and do the other side
Enjoy with maple syrup, fruit or bacon
